I know I should be asking the universities this question but I have called them so many times they always put me on hold for such a loooong time.

Anyways I am applying for ryerson and york universities in canada(toronto) for my undergrad and I have no idea what to pick for my majors. Like I dont even know what I find interesting haha. So I decided I would pick undecided or undelcared science/health major for now and see from there. So my question is, does picking that make you gain an extra year? Like I know a average undergrad major time is 4 years but does an undecided major make that 5 years (plus I'll have to take med pre reqs along with my major courses) or something?

Anyone's answer is very much appreciated but if you have been to any one of these universities it would be so much helpful. Thank you!

I would imagine it won't if you just end up taking your general education courses that first year. Also taking 5 yrs is not going to stop you from getting into med school. Maintain a good GPA, do well on the MCAT, take the necessary pre-reqs, volunteer, shadow, etc. and have some fun in college.

It may be different in Canada, but here in the US, we don't have to choose a major before we begin college. That is what your general education classes are for is to expose you to different fields.
And, whenever you decide on what you like, then you can choose a major.

You should choose the easiest major. I read that if you complete your prerequisitesite for medical school and apply and get in, there is no need to complete bachelor's but instead go straight into medicine. You will have to keep up your grades but I heard York is an easier school.

Umm disagree. What if the "easiest major" is something you absolutely hate?
Take gen eds and figure out what you're interested in. And know that if you chose a hard major, med schools still expect you to earn a high GPA.
