I was looking at the list of programs that didn't fill in the 2005 match, and was surprised at some of them. I expected a large # of middle and lower tier primary care slots, but there were actually a few derm spots, a rather large # of diag. rad., etc. Does a program not filling in the match really mean anything in terms of competitiveness? Is it only meaningful in relation to the other programs in the same specialty? EDIT: I meant to put this in the gen. residency forum...sorry.
