hmmm - Columbia and Rochester did not fill this year according to the unmatched list (this is posted in the general residency issues forum) -

Are these genuinely open spots or outside-the-match "open" spots? I'm not scrambling, just curious.

technically, if you fill outside the match you MUST withdraw from the match. I am not sure how often violations occur.
