Mary Pham told me that invitations will be sent out starting from Oct 2-3 and interview around October end.So, hope the 2 interviews dates don't clash.Does that happen???

nb 2 - 76
ece - 4.0
toefl - (cbt) 263..
I have 1 year of experience in India and 4 months in US are a volunteer., I also received a gold medal in India.

I have send applications to llu, uop, bu, upenn

do I stand any chance to be called for interviews?

Please help me..... I will appreciate all the help.....I am totally frustated as to what to do...

hey guys...those who got the interview invitations....congrats !!!

can i join you in our interview & tech. xam preparations? i recd my interview invitation just yesterday via first class mail.

i guess, you guys must have gone through NileBDS's remarkable thread on UOP and what he thinks about it...so let us be as helpful as he has been all through and collaborate....

i noe we r gonna spend like crazy coming to think of the expenses-right from buying airtickets to city transportation to accomodation.....but we have to do it right???so we have to think of reducing our expenses as much possible--by renting rooms together...sharing transportation costs,etc...

lets start by going through various airfare deals.....i would suggest everyone get on to itasoftware.com and check the prices....i think i have not seen lesser prices anywhere else...not even on studentuniverse.com.....but the only thing is that you cannot buy directly from this website.....u have to get in touch with the airlines office with the itinerary from this website and tell them that you got this deal online and want it....

i found out that getting down at OAKLAND airport is a bit cheaper than at SFO....though this depends on the place u r flying down from.....maybe it is cheaper for u to get down at SFO......

checked out how far are both airports from Marina Inn (cheapest motel given in our interview guide and i guess not far from UOP)....OAK is 21 miles and SFO is 15 miles.....so if any of u guys are planning to land at OAK...which I do...possibly in the day between 11am and 2pm..then we might stand a chance to get together and rent a cab or whatever they suggest in the guide....

have not bought my tickets but will probably do it today....anyone if interested in sharing costs....just lemme noe....

ok....so do we have anyone who noes what they ask us to do in the xams?all they say in the guide is about a fixed pros. test...maybe a #30 crown prep(most common tooth in tech xams all over) and operative test...maybe a cl. 2 cavity prep......do they also have some wax technik xam(to check psychomotor skills)?

i couldn find many threads on UOP on SDN...so if anyone knowing anything....please share....this is the only way we can collaborate and work things out....

guys....i booked my tickets finally.....

reaching oakland at 11.18am on 25th oct.......haven't checked out the motels in and around the univ...i plan to follow the advice they have given in the guide about in-city transportation....i.e. using the BART airshuttle...then the bart main shuttle..and then the california MUNI bus to reach SF....

how bout u guys????cmmon...lez shake this thread up a bit....

By chance I called UOP and ask them about interview stuff and that i havent received any interview call as yet.
I was told that "You should be getting ur letter by coming tuesday. If u dont ur chances are slim."
So my suggestion to all is just call them and find out about ur application.

From the invitation letter, I see there are two days of "interviews". What could that be? Are we going to meet different interviwers? or there are written test etc? And anybody has any idea about the tech Exam?

the reason they have 2 days reserved for interviews is so that they could divide all of us with invitations over those 2 days...i mean how can they squeeze us all in, in 1 day only? 😉
