This another complex I keep finding in my searches- it's nice to hear from someone who lives there. I'll have to check it out.
Damn, I was really hoping to see some good news for our fellow applicants over on the pre-allo board. But it's also made me even more grateful for an OOS acceptance. Seems like you can't take anything for granted in this process!
Yeah, I went in there all ready to hand out happy congratulations, but it's been mostly a river of tears there. I feel really bad for a lot of folks.
By the way, I have a cunning plan to find you when we all meet as a class. I'm going to yell "Tough Cookies!" and I expect to hear someone yell back "Eat Me!"
Haha, but how will I know you?
You think there'll be more than one guy shouting "tough cookies"?
I'll be the non-trad (31) with the last vestiges of an English accent. If I'm in the mood, I may be wearing a fedora. 😎
While some of our classmates may be quite old *ahem*DeAlighieri*ahem*...
I don't think you've got anything to worry about. While some of our classmates may be quite old *ahem*DeAlighieri*ahem*, I'm sure you won't feel out of place. Colorado does seem like it has more non-trads/older students than the average school, but I'm guessing that students recently out of college are still in the majority. Most importantly, you're already of legal drinking age, and I think we'll all agree that the greatest class bonding usually occurs while inebriated.

Every CU med school class has had more than its fair share of wild parties, promiscuous sex, heavy drinking, and other extracurricular activities.
That wouldn't be Dartmouth would it?
I really enjoyed my interview there, but I think Colorado has them beat in a few key areas. As far as academics, the schools are probably comparable, but Colorado has the "new" curriculum.
Hey Y'all-
There's a facebook group for U of CO C/O 2012, so if you're on facebook, you should join!😎
I can't find the facebook group! I tried searching 🙁
PS- Catdoctor-
If you're logged into facebook, click on the above link in my previous post. It should take you to the page.
Any opposition to waitlisters joining the group? I promise to discretely remove myself if I don't get accepted 🙂
Top third... arg May can't come soon enough.
Excellent! Top third = admission. Looking forward to meeting you!
Also from Montana. Praying for WICHE, the OOS tuition is steep. Are you going to the April 18th gathering? I am looking for someone to split the gas from Bozeman.
That would be nice, unfortunately WICHE is based on funding through the MT legislature and this year they will be funding only 6 medical students.
you go to MSU?
If you're still concerned, I attended the CU med meet and greet, and almost everyone there was considerably younger than me.
Hey everybody,
I am a MS3 doing a rotation at UCHSC this fall. Does any know where I can look to find a place to stay for the month that I will be in Denver? Do you have some kind of listserve or housing list that I can take a peak at?
Thanks for any help.
