Did any one in those 83 letters( returned with yellow tag on it!!!!!) got interview letter or every one was rejected. The letter rejection letter i got by email from Ms.jane does not have signature on it. It was dated 18th. Its surprising to know that persons with high GPA and scores got dejected and with low credentials got accepted...I do understand the possibility of more work experience, better reco...or publications(?) etc...still i am not convinced...Some one need to look into this.

Also look at caries stats. He/She also received interview call.

According to colorado school, they received too many applications. When colorado school cannot handle so many applications, they should not have extended the deadline. This is cheating and colorado school needs to explain this well.

Ms. Jane Miller or anyone should not be blamed for the decisions but I do agree with dentalboy about extension of deadlines.The admission cycle opened early for the class of 2008 and was later extended which was just not required..Even in NYU apart from dates mentioned on the website applications were accepted even after the deadline.IF this is the case why do we have to even apply on time or be an early applicant.

Its ok, 4get it and lets move on, maybe students who have lesser scores are reapplicants many might be plus diversity for those 20 seats, lot of factors, yu know it is illegal according to law to discrimnate students but when they say they want diversity , then there is discrimnation aginst students of one nationality so lot of factors are there.Maybe we have something better coming up. gud luc

You don't even have any slightest idea what experience i have.Inspite of my experience i got rejections.Never blamed someone when i got rejected like you my friend.I faced life's challenges with courage.So still do not even think of blaming others.

Exactly I know a person who has lesser scores no work experience and late application plus first time applicant who got in while many others with 96, 93 90 89, being waitlisted

Yes, even i think we should not comment on scores and of all caries who put his or her scores to boost us up so i think thats not right to comment on others scores

meverick just because international program is for 2 years and we save money doesn't mean that school can treat us like beggars. Students put all their efforts to earn this seat.
Also just because you have got a interview letter from colorado school, you should not support this school(may to increase your chance of selection). I have read other posts from you and this is what you said about USC

Can anyone prove what I have written is wrong. If yes then I would just pack my bags and stop applying for dental schools.

I know people who have above 92 in part 1(good gpa etc) and have received rejection/waitlisted letter. I donot want to specify the exact scores but no college can ever send such a candidate waitlisting/rejection letter. Also there are people those who have received bad scores but they are been called for interview.

Yes I would fight for my rights till I receive justice from this school.

Let this post be a good testimony for future candidates who want to apply to colorado school for 2008 interview.

You see asking for documents in the last minute is different from sending the rejection letter lately.From where does people provide documents in 2 days.Regarding rejection if you have recieved rejections 1 day before or 2 days later does it matter.I don't post threads here to improve my chances in selection.If Arguing improves my chances then probably USC should invite you and give seat for bringing the issue.You should know other applicants merits before posting threads about your rejections.I accept that my score is 87, and GPA but i did improve toefl score and applied to colorado.Your fight for justice what is your fight and what justice you want. Thousands of international dentists are ahead of you to get in to the dental schools so check where you will be.can you post your stats let me see what is good about your stats.

How did meverick qualify for colorado when his toefl is below the requirement listed by colorado school. Nowhere on colorado website has they mentioned of such exceptions.

I have no enemity towards meverick but just because you are selected, you cannot switch sides. You were in our shoes few months back.

Can someone from colorado school reply to these posts. We need justice. They need to mention on their website what they want in their candidates. This will save us time, energy and money.

i think CU admission process is very complicated. But the criteria for selection should be clear . They should explain the reason for rejection or selection to the candidates.
My stats are NBDE part 1 96, toefl 107, GPA 3.41, 3yrs working experience in my home country, Currently working as Dental assistant in USA from last 9 months.
I am in waitlist. I dont understand what further I can do to improve my stats. I am really very depressed with colorado univ decision....

Thats enough lets 4get about others and lets improve our application lets stop this and move 4ward,its ok I have also retaken my part 1 toefl and all i have been doing for the past 2yrs is run behind this and I also applied to school got waitlisted while my frnds who had lower stats and not the experience i have got into , it was a cake walk for some .people are lucky and some are not, reapplication also matters a lot , a reapplicant who has the same scores but has shown some improvement gets a preference over a guy with 95 , first time applicant, this is the truth and i think all of us need to be patient we will get in we just have to wait for our turn, relax i think lets 4get colorado for now and move on , we are not going to get anything out of this and lets hope the other students who are nvited get selected.

Experience is must that's why they made the program 2 years.Thinking of your experience they take you and your score too so experience adds to it.I don't think amcdot will agree with you and i don't think she will deliver it.If you don't have experience better take DAT exam and apply to 4 year regular programs.

Do you have an idea how much does it cost to apply in Canada from 500 to 5000 Canadian dollars the whole process. You guys is the States are note supposed to complain about fees.....

Part II
working experience, SOP, GPA
You know I personnaly do not trust too much on part I because you need 9-12 months and you have a great score but knowing enzimes and molecules does it makes you goos dentist-candidate for an ISP ???
I got already few rejection but do not blame anyone - it is my choise to apply, my choice to live in Canada, my choice not to work as dentist where I got my graduation, my choice to go through this, my choice....

Though not required, preference will be given to individuals who have successfully passed National Dental Boards Part II.

lets ask something elso - why do you think they changed the format of the exam - part I
maybe because it became quite easy to get high results by learning by heart old released and unreleased exam papers and redoing just soem of the papers

all of us are international dentists who want to get admitted into a dental school here so that we have a recognition and our hard work would be paid off. if a school has a particular rule there is nothing one can do. but if we want a change in the system then one persons voice will never matter. we all must make sure our voices are heard by the schools who have the international student program. there is no point in bickering among ourselves.

i am not trying to lecture anyone here. every one has a right to there opinion and so this is my opinion.

i'm closing the thread...as the current discussions do not help people with much information about the admissions criteria/knowledge about the exams conducted in the university.this is a forum where everyone should help each other,not criticize other people.no one knows the acceptance criteria of a school!
