University of Houston C/O 2019 Applicants

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thanks. I guess they haven't sent out acceptance to Jan 30th interviewees.
It's still early!! It's only been 2 weeks hasn't it? Trust me, I felt like I was waiting forever.. this is week 5 for me & I was going crazy lol. But just believe!! It'll come

I just did my interview today, but I kinda messed up during my personal interview :/ You guys think it would affect really much my chance of getting accepted?

Nah. The admissions committee looks at your file, not just one part. Admission is based on your whole profile: stats, volunteer work, jobs, group interview, personal interview, and LOR. Lacking in one of these areas is not going to be an automatic no. Getting rejected is usually lacking in multiple areas, not just one area. I'm sure you did great! I felt like I did horrible on my personal interview too, but it turned out okay! 🙂

Thank you for your quick reply! I was kinda depressed since I got home but hearing things from you who had been through the same thing as I did really helped cheering me up!! 😀

Will do! My friend who interviewed the same day as us also hasn't heard anything back. Looks like we could be waiting up to 5 weeks. I just hope we hear back soon because this wait sucks.

Is there anyone from Jan 30st interview still not have received anything??? ....?
Not a single e-mail came for me....

Isn't this a little odd...?
I might try to call them today..

It definitely is a little weird. Please let me know what they say after you do! I was thinking about calling them, but I was going to give them the rest of today.

The guy I talked to, Morgan, told me that they already made decisions for Jan 30st interviewers, but somehow did not send out the results yet... 🙁
He said he has no access to the information though. I guess they are gonna come out very soon?? Maybe today?

OMGGGGGGGG

Anticipation to the max today. Im hoping they will let us know before the office closes today.

Just got an email and I got tabled. The waiting continues... Has anyone heard of previous tabled decisions ending in more rejections or acceptances? or does it really just depend?

Be yourself is a first thing! Prepare answers regarding your volunteered experiences, school works, etc. Be an active member during group activity but not overpowering.
good luck!!

Wait listed means you've actually been put on the list so that if someone decides not to attend the First person off the wait list gets a seat. Tabled means they are still deciding what to do with us and comparing us to the next pool of applicants. I'm wondering if we are still able to get wait listed after getting tabled?

I don't know whether it would be better to be waitlisted or tabled at this point. At my interview date, we were told that a tabled decision would be "a huge possibility at this time."

my interview is this friday :O how long does it take to hear back from them?

why are people getting tabled and not rejected/waitlisted? are they wanting to see all the applicants first and then make a decision?

do yall think it's possible to get accepted despite having the final interview session?

So is it possible to get acceptance after being tabled??
