I have an interview with Indianapolis coming up soon, and wanted to know if anyone has any insight on the their style of interviewing. Are they laid back or do they drill you? Do they ask a lot of ethical questions? Any help is much appreciated!

I'm in the middle of my first semester after going through the process last year, so first of all good luck tomorrow! Assuming it's the same as last year, you'll sign in and be sent to a room with your interview group (depending on whether you're morning or afternoon). There they'll likely introduce you to the admission staff and probably Stacie, who'll give you the schedule for the day (tours, financial aid, about the program). When you sign in you'll find your interview time, and they'll take you out in groups to your room. The interviews are individual and will be done by two faculty members or one faculty and a third-year student. The interview for me was very laid back and actually one of the reasons I ended up going there because I was so impressed with how passionate the professors are about the program. Really it won't be a high pressure interview. They'll open up with "tell me about yourself" and go from there. For me they were interested in my background and personal experiences more than anything else. They'll also have a few minutes at the end for you to ask questions of them, so I recommend just have one or two in your pocket ready to ask. As a heads up the new Health Pavilion has very limited parking, so I'd suggest leaving yourself plenty of time in the morning/before lunch to find a space so you're not stressed out getting there. Also the building has a ridiculous number of windows and some of the interviews will be conducted in rooms with windows for walls that students will be walking past and will be able to see in, so prepare yourself mentally for that. Other than that I'd say don't get too nervous because our professors are wonderful here, and you getting the interview is already most of the battle. Good luck, I hope everything goes well!

Thank you for the detailed response!! I'm excited for it! It's awesome how much preparation and care they're putting into the interview day

Hey! I'm wondering if you could tell me how you like UIndy's program? I've been accepted there and I'm very seriously considering choosing UIndy. You could pm me if you prefer. Thanks!
