Same here, I just got the same email. I've been waitlisted also. Not sure how their waitlist works, some programs give you a waitlist # if you contact them. That way, you know where you stand on the list.

Was anyone actually rejected from UNE, or just accepted or waitlisted?

I submitted my application in September and I haven't heard a word. I mean I know I didn't get an interview (judging by posts here) and I've already gotten into another school, but it is pretty annoying! The least they could do is send a quick email...

Agreed, same situation exactly. And UNE isn't the only offender. Some schools reportedly have filled their class and started a waitlist and STILL haven't notified me.

I'm in the same situation too! It's obvious I was rejected from 2-3 schools so why can't they just tell me? I'd rather know so I can accept another offer rather than checking my email obsessively haha

Same goes for me! And I interviewed there two years ago with worse stats.
 
Just some info for those still waiting...
I emailed Peggy at UNE yesterday to check my status. She said that they hadn't received my GRE scores yet, but that
"We are still interviewing, still accepting and building our waitlist. Our last interview session is March 7th."
And if I get my scores to them, I could still be considered for an interview.
 
I still have not received any information at all about my admissions status from University of New England. That can't be a good sign...

I received a rejection this week so not hearing isn't necessarily bad! Best of luck to you!

When I emailed them, they said that they do not give out the order of their waitlist because it is always changing. They keep interviewing and accepting, denying, and waitlisting so it changes so much and that's why there's no telling where we stand on the waitlist. They did say that they go pretty deep into their wailist to fill their class as candidates decline their offers. Hope this helps!! I'm in the same boat!

To my knowledge; the waiting list at UNE is different from other schools, they only put handful of people on the waiting list, matter fact; they "congratulate " you on being placed on the waiting list In their e-mail.. That being said, people on waiting list seem to have a fair chance of being accepted as other students chose to go to other programs.. I was placed on the waiting list, and 2.5 weeks after (when the deposit deadline for accepted students ranout) I was called by admission to see if I'm still interested in attending... Of course I said yes despite having a $1000 deposit at another school as it was one of top choice.. So if you are on the waiting list: don't lose hope... Good luck to everyone..

Thank You! I was put on the wailist after interviewing January 31st. When I read the email and the "Congratulations" part, I thought wow maybe I got accepted...That's good to know. I really liked the school and hopefully I will hear back from them. Did you decide to attend UNE?

Yes, I'm attending... and hopefully you"ll get your acceptance soon so you can join me in August 🙂 ( is UNE ur top choice?)

Thank you! I was also placed on the waitlist after the Jan 31st interview and have received two waitlist emails and letters dated 6 days apart which was weird. As of now I have put down one deposit at another school but UNE was one of my top choices so still kind of hoping to hear something soon, but not getting my hopes up.

I live in Florida, so as far as distance goes it's pretty far away. But, I really... loved it there...the Portland area and the school!!

How did you guys receive your invitation for an interview...via mail or email? I still haven't heard anything yet.
 
I will be attending UNE in the fall of 2017. Congratulations to those of you who have been accepted!! To those wait listed, do not lose hope!! There is typically a lot of movement on the wait list (I have a lot friends who got in off the wait list last year). If any of you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me, as I was actually in the class of 2016 and took a leave of absence and will be coming back in the class of 2017. Has anyone started a facebook group for the UNE DPT class of 2017 yet so people can start networking??

For those of you asking about the wait list and the whole process in general...I applied pretty late, just about a week before the 1/15 deadline, received an invitation for an interview about 3 weeks ago, interviewed last Friday 3/7, got an email saying I was wait listed the following Wednesday and then yesterday they called me (just two days later) and said I'm accepted. Not sure if it helps or not for those of you waiting, but as others have said things seem to move around quite a bit with them.
 
I sure hope you are right! I was at the march 7th interview as well and was waitlisted but UNE is my number one and REALLY want to go there!!! Hoping for the best!

Good luck! Just out of curiosity, which color group were you in? I was in green. Also, I really suggest writing a thank you letter to them and stating it's your first choice and why you would be such a great addition to the program, etc.

Overall GPA 3.38

About 200 observation/volunteer hours in 3 different settings (mostly all ortho)

I was in the yellow group! and who did you send your thank you letter to? Amanda or the person you interviewed with?
 
Now that I think about it..might seem desperate to send a letter this late after the interview! Oh well...guess I'll just do the good old waiting game.
 
I sent my thank you letter to the person who I interviewed with. But I also sent it after I was accepted, so I'm not sure what would be appropriate for the wait list. Good luck!!
 
I would say go ahead and write the thank you note! It definitely cannot hurt to get your name in front of them again and since they seem to shift things around so much I think that would help your chances of moving up the list and eventually getting in!
 
Does anyone have a clue on how many people are on the waitlist? I was also waitlisted.

From what I have heard and experienced the UNE wait list is very interchangeable and it sounds like up to 50% of each class is from the wait list. If you haven't heard anything yet, you still might after the second deposit is due May 1st. The last interview session was held on 3/7 and there still might be people being accepted off the wait list after that round. Good luck!

For those of you who have been accepted and plan to attention you should join the UNE DPT Class of 2017 Facebook group!
 
For those who were waitlisted and then accepted to UNE, were you notified by email, phone, mail?! Hoping to hear something after May 1st!!
