Hi everyone! Has anyone applied to and heard anything from the University of the Sciences in Philedalpha, Pennsylvania? I had emailed someone asking if my application had been received and was told it had been downloaded in their first group (I submitted my OTCAS in early September) and that I should receive a confirmation email, but I never received a confirmation email? Their website also didn't list a lot of contact information about checking on that. Can anyone help me out?

I also applied in late August and haven't heard a single thing.

Danggg lol I'm a 3.3. My classmate who was also an athlete like me got accepted there last year. I am hoping my stats aren't too low

I also applied in August and still have not heard anything as well from them

Update: I was accepted this morning!!! Received it by phone call! :soexcited:

did you send USciences your GRE scores? They told me that they don't look at them.

I actually can't remember if I sent my GRE scores. I reported them on the OTCAS but I don't think I sent them to the school. I applied to and was accepted into the MOT program!

Hey ! Will you be attending USP for the MOT program? Im most likely am even though the tuition is ridiculous. I heard it is a prestigious school but you'll be paying worth the quality of education. The location is great and there is a trolley available. It is near center city.

Hey ! Will you be attending USP? I will most likely in the MOT program. I know the loans will be a lot but since it is a prestigious school, we will be paying a good quality education. It is near center city. I was thinking living on campus during the summer session and hopefully after that, I can find an apartment off campus with other OT students.

I am going to visit the campus in January but there won't be any students there. I'm unsure yet if I will be attending but I am glad that they decided to extend the deadline for decisions. I'll let you know how the school is 🙂

Probably not because yes their tuition is by far the highest out of all the schools I'm applying for.

Update: Accepted upon completion of a physics course 🙂!
Congrats!!!! When did your OTCAS app get verified? Mine was verified November 10th, so I'm trying to get an idea of when I will be hearing back from them. When I talked to Amy at open house she said hopefully by the New Year but it could be later on.

I believe their supplemental app was just the few questions they had listed under "program materials" on the OTCAS!

Bump
Got my acceptance letter from University of the Sciences today! For anyone who is waiting to hear back from them, they are now reviewing November applicants (I submitted my OTCAS application November 4th).

Good luck to everyone!!!

p.s. I already visited back in October for open house, but I still feel like I have so many more questions about the program. If anyone wants to share what they know about the program, please do! It would be extremely helpful 🙂

Did you apply to the MOT or DrOT program? My OTCAS was verified on November 5th and I haven't heard anything.

That's really strange that you haven't heard anything yet. I got my acceptance letter by email January 4th for the MOT program and received my package in the mail a few days later. I saw that someone said a few days ago they were waitlisted but I'm not sure if that was for the MOT or OTD. If I were you, I would call and see if they can tell you the status of your application.

Same thing AspiringOT stated, I received my acceptance materials a while ago. I would highly suggest calling and asking about your status.

I applied for the OTD program so I wonder if that's the difference

You applied for the MOT program right? I haven't found anyone that applied to the OTD program that has heard anything. I received an email saying I would be contacted via postal mail and my old apartment address was on my OTCAS app but it was noted that that address was only valid for a couple months and to send to my permanent address (Parent's address). I wonder if that has been a program too. I received an email like wishing me happy holidays from them around Christmas

Yes, MOT. Have you tried calling to see where your application stands?

USciences received my application for the MOT program on 11/15, but I still haven't heard anything! After reading these recent posts, I think I'll call tomorrow to see where my application stands. Did everyone receive an acceptance email first or just postal mail?

Ah yes I applied to the MOT not the OTD. That probably makes a difference

I received my acceptance via email and got my official acceptance package in the mail a few days later.

Hi all! I visited USciences and sat down with Aimee on January 9th. Overall I was pretty impressed with the program. I'll kind of give y'all a brief overview of what I thought was unique to the program and what I wasn't so crazy about. One thing that stood out to me the most was that there are 4 Level 1 fieldworks, while most other MOT programs have 2. She also said that each semester, you are revisiting previous materials, so you don't just focus on one period of life during one semester, you are talking about all the stages of life every semester. What I wasn't so crazy about is that there is no gross anatomy type class where you have a cadaver lab. I don't know what y'alls A&P backgrounds are, but I learned it all on a pig, which is obviously not as comparable to a human, so I feel that I would greatly benefit from having a cadaver lab. The summer semester does have a neuroscience class/lab and they said you do dissect the brain. Some of the students I spoke too said you also get the A&P type stuff through your other classes. I didn't get to see the building that classes would be in, but I know there is a new learning lab type building that is supposedly really high tech.
If anyone else has any questions, feel free to message me! I hope this helps some of y'all trying to make decisions.

I am going back next Friday for a tour and to meet with some of the professors! I wish I would have picked another day becuase MOT students don't have classes on Fridays but I will be going back another day to sit in on some of the classes. I know someone who is currently in the program now and she loves it!
