Hi all! I visited USciences and sat down with Aimee on January 9th. Overall I was pretty impressed with the program. I'll kind of give y'all a brief overview of what I thought was unique to the program and what I wasn't so crazy about. One thing that stood out to me the most was that there are 4 Level 1 fieldworks, while most other MOT programs have 2. She also said that each semester, you are revisiting previous materials, so you don't just focus on one period of life during one semester, you are talking about all the stages of life every semester. What I wasn't so crazy about is that there is no gross anatomy type class where you have a cadaver lab. I don't know what y'alls A&P backgrounds are, but I learned it all on a pig, which is obviously not as comparable to a human, so I feel that I would greatly benefit from having a cadaver lab. The summer semester does have a neuroscience class/lab and they said you do dissect the brain. Some of the students I spoke too said you also get the A&P type stuff through your other classes. I didn't get to see the building that classes would be in, but I know there is a new learning lab type building that is supposedly really high tech.
If anyone else has any questions, feel free to message me! I hope this helps some of y'all trying to make decisions.
