Can anyone tell me the cost to attend UNLV dental school for in and out of state students, I heard that they raised the price of tuition recently and I just want to know how it compares to other schools. I heard somethng about it being one of the more expensive schools now. Thank you. And please dont refer me to Predents, because i have already been there and i dont think that reflects the tuition increase. thanks

I would DIE to attend UNLV. Party party party! If the tuition is now one of the highest, that will be a shame. The campus is like a mile away from the heart of vegas.

OMG I just looked up their tuition (albiet probably not updated) and its 76,000 OOS for tuition and fees ALONE and that doesn't even include cost of living.

Yeah, I got accepted there as an OOS, and tuition was a big factor in going somewhere else. It's 74k for the first year OOS, and 43k for IS. However, after your first year, you will be eligible for in-state tuition.

I'm from Vegas and heard that in-state tuition is going to be about 48k next year...too bad.

have you looked at studying abroad at oxford or cambridge? those are the REAL party schools. they go so much harder than vegas any day

An international dentist degree is worthless here... I'd still have to come back after graduating and apply as an international dentist and complete the last 2-3 years of a US dental school curriculum anyways.

People go to vegas once or twice a year to escape from the real world... we can do it every weekend!

74-76K sound like what I paid and yes it is expensive compared to the last couple of years. But considering the fact that cost of living in Vegas is super low, it still cheaper to go to UNLV than some of the other schools.
Oh! and about partying here in Vegas...It's exactly that kind of attitude that makes people drop out halfway through the 1st semester
😉

...drop out and become multimillionaire gamblers. those lucky fools...

I got accepted to UNLV as an in-state. I know tuition for in-state is about $45,000 per year and $75,000 for OOS.

The cost-of-attendance (living expenses, etc.) for OOS was $104,000 per year. The cost-of-attendance for in-state was around $74,000.

I got accepted to OHSU and University of Michigan and their tuition is only like $4,000 more per year as an OOS than the tuition at UNLV as an in-state.

So when I'm deciding schools now the price is essentially the same everywhere (except OHSU makes you buy your own equipment). So much for being in-state. I know Harvard OOS tuition is cheaper than UNLV for in-state. Quite ridiculous I think. Takes away the main incentive for students to stay in-state.
