So we all know how we receive "unofficial reports" and the end of our exam. I was told that our scores are then sent in fir accuracy and scaling and junk like that. But since I've never received an "official report", can I be secure in the fact that my score on my unofficial report accurately reflects the official report. I don't know if I explained that correctly. I guess I'm basically wondering if the scores that the schools receive could ever be above or below the numbers on my unofficial report?

...no. you're over thinking this one

I don't understand why people seem to be confused by the original question; it simply asks if an official score report of the O.A.T. possibly can differ from the results shown as soon as the test is over.

I don't think that would happen. Your exam will be checked, and if anything looks suspicious (e.g., they feel you might have cheated), you'll be notified. Otherwise, what you're told at the conclusion of your test should match what's mailed out a few weeks later.

Thanks, Coommando303. It's just a questions that comes up for a minute when you read the paper and it says UNOFFICIAL in bold and underline. But then you forget about it since you have your scores and you're happy and you don't care after that point. 😛

I took the OAT one time, and received the unofficial score immediately. About 2 weeks later, I received a letter in regards to my OAT score, and that it had actually went up.

Generally though, The scores on the unofficial report are pretty accurate, but don't fret.. if there are any changes in your score, they let you know by mail. They won't just show you one thing, and send the schools another without letting u know.

 Ditto, that couldn't have been any clearer.
