If anyone is familiar with this program and can offer advice, it would be soo appreciated!

I'm planning to apply to DO schools within the next month, but recently started looking into post bacc programs/graduate programs since I won't have the option of taking more undergrad classes after this semester to raise my GPA if I don't get in. I came across LECOM's health sciences post bacc, and I'm very interested in applying from what I've learned about it. However, the deadline for submitting an application is August 1st. Is there even a reasonable chance for acceptance this late in the game?

With grade replacement, my cgpa/sgpa is 3.3/3.25 but without it, it's about 3.1/2.8. I'm expecting my MCAT scores back august 12th, and I'm sure I scored at least 25+.

The application has to be submitted by August 1st and all other materials by Sept 1st (the program starts Sept 3rd!). Do I have any chance with these stats, at this point?

Thanks so much for any responses.

Are they rolling admissions? If so, then there probably is not a huge chance of you getting in. I'm guessing they are if the program starts September 3rd.

Why are you so sure about a 25+? What were your full length aamc practice averages?

Yea, it's rolling admissions. And I say 25+ because I never scored below that taking numerous practice tests

I only took one AAMC full length but several Kaplan tests and averaged about 27.

well good luck with your scores. i dont' have much to say about the program itself, but if i had to make a guess, i would say it'd be tough to get in this late. maybe contact them and ask if they still have openings? at the very least you might get the interview experience and what not (do they do interviews for post baccs? sorry don't know)

Thanks for the responses..I did call and talk to someone who works in admissions for the program, and he said that there was no class size limit but applicants would have to be pretty competitive to get in at this point, and that's all he would really say. So I'm not sure if that sort of translates into "well, you can technically still apply but there's pretty much no chance" or what..

it depends on if they think you are competitive. look at their median numbers, and 10th percentile numbers if you can and judge from there. then you also need to look at your personal statement, LORs, ECs, etc. it's a full package, but at this point in the game, numbers are going to matter a lot probably.
