Hi I found this on UofT's site:

"We use the MCAT as a flag only, and as such marks higher than the minimums do not improve the chances of the application."

Does this mean that if I get a really high mark my chances are not higher than a guy that just passed with the minimums?

thanks

Precisely. GPA, PS, LORs, Sketch > MCAT at U of T.

Best of luck.

Ahhh man, that sucks!!!! I'm going to grade 12 this year, and was hoping to study for a few years to get a reaaaaally good mark on the MCAT. But guess I should stop that? Is there anything else I could do right now to improve my chances?

If you're not trolling and are that keen my advice: enjoy your senior year of high school and do something kickass the summer before undergrad.

If U of T is your ideal medical school then make sure to get a good breadth of experience outside of studying for the MCAT. People don't study for the MCAT years on end. When the time comes, you'll take a few (or several) months, buckle down, and do your best.

Good luck and consider forgetting about these forums for a few years.

What is the matter with you... 👎

lol... I just don't wanna say that I wanna go to med school now and not do anything about it. I don't want to be all regretful when application time does come around. Instead of working super hard in the last minute I'd rather slowly and less painfully build up my application.

The gunner is strong with this one...
