I don't think Tier 1 people who haven't gotten an interview should worry too much....it still looks like they are reviewing Tier 1 people mostly, and plus you guys get to be reviewed 2 more times with Tier 2 and 3....you guys have the best chance....don't lose hope!!!

So I just got off the phone with Lis (the Admissions counselor/adviser), she said that they are wrapping up viewing tier 1 applications in the next ~ 2-3 weeks. So if your a tier 1 application there still is time to receive an interview! Also, she said regardless of an interview or not, she said that YOU WILL RECEIVE SOMETHING in the mail 2-3 weeks from now..

Either 3 things

1) Interview invite
2) Telling you to wait and send in your fall semester/quarter grades (and they will review your app sometime in feb and march again)
3) Not a strong candidate (basically rejection)

my file completed date was: 7/31

if anyone has the same dates, please let me know! (if you either got something or not)

If anyone receives ANYTHING from UOP, interview letter, rejection letter, please let me know as I am waiting impatiently to hear something from them. I am a tier 1 applicant. I am getting real nervous since many tier 1 applicants have already gotten interview letters!

I fall under #2.....got the upsetting letter today, but the review will be in Jan. according to their letter.

What a tease. my application was completed 8/15, and my PCHK just showed up today as 9/29 (so Tier 2), and I got in two letters from UOP.. but neither was an interview. One was a verification telling me I my app was complete, and the other was just a checklist of courses (basically informing me that I meet all their requirements). Hopefully this week I'll hear something!
 
Optimistic01, do you mind sharing your stats and when you submitted your application and the PCHEK date that you were given please? Thanks!
 
If anyone has received an interview, could you please post some of your stats, so I can compare them with mine, IM getting REAL NERVOUS

My file complete was 8/18, PCHK 10/2...and now I'm waiting...I hope I don't get outright rejected...but I think since a lot of people that have their PCHK before me still haven't gotten their letters yet which means I still have a long wait ahead of me...

oh my gosh... now i'm freakin out. =( they straight-up reject tier 1 people? i thought they would just push them to tier 2 and 3, at least... doh! hehe.

My PCHK date is same as your's, but my file complete is a couple days earlier. I'm in category 2. Better than a flat out rejection. But my letter said they will review my app in January. Good luck to you
 
gemmin, What are your stats by the way? (if you don't mind that is, or could you PM me?)

Got placed in the #2 category. They said to wait until fall grades come in, but what if you already completed the pre-reqs? Does that mean that they still won't review you until Jan? And does that also mean they won't look at you with Tier 2 applicants? I'm confused.

I was tier-1 last year and didn't receive an interview invitation until late October for a January interview date. So, no worries!
 
Don't worry too much guys. I'm not the strongest student(sci GPA = 3.2)and I have an interview next thurs. hope this gives you all some hope.

Got an em-ail indicating that all letters will be sent by the end of this week (1st tier). NErvouS...
 
So is there even a new interview date for like maybe November for Tier 1? I haven't heard anyone getting interview the last week or so which makes me a bit nervous that all letters by end of this week for tier 1 are hold or reject
 
What I'm wondering is: is there anyone who got an interview invite who are taking classes this fall?

Do you automatically get pushed back for review if you are taking classes right now?

I called Monday and asked for a date after 10/24 and was told the next available date was 11/14.

No, I am taking classes this fall. I am not going to graduate until June 2009 and I was offered an interview.

If you are pushed back for review until Jan because they want your Fall Grades, would that sort of imply that if you get straight A's they will interview you?

Was anyone here in that situation who got straight A's and no interview still?

^ The second link actually goes to the feedback for Pacific University in Oregon. Not sure why it's named UOP with an apostrophe. An admin must have thought they were the same school or something.

No, I'm just waiting for an invite, but I have a great feeling that I might get a letter that states one of the two: rejection or review at a later time. 🙁 Good luck to you on your app, since you have just received your PCHK date which means that you may hear from them pretty soon. :luck:

I'm sure my application is no better than yours. You should be fine.

I am waiting for USC too...which will probably be next week!

lol...cinnamoroll you are in my boat tooo? mannn, i was so sad that everyone in this thread got invites except ME lol....i hope i get an envelope tomorrowww....or sat....and USC i am anxious about too hehe
 
So I was looking through last year's UOP thread and people were still receiving invites around 10/15. Hopefully this trend will continue this year. ..
 
if I don't have all of my LORs in for UOP, but everything else is turned in. Is my app considered incomplete?

also, during high school, I was accepted into the 7 year program at UOP, but I rejected it. anyone else do the same? Will they know that applied before (any advantages/disadvantages)?

it is incomplete until you have everything in- check your application checker on the uop website to see...
 
Congrats to all of you who already received an invite from UOP. I applied tier 1 and having heard from them yet.... im so nervous... i just want my letter to come, this is my first choice so i hope i get in :luck:
 
I called a lady at UOP and she said "not to worry about it" too! Ugh, that's annoying.
