Hola everyone,

Since there seems to be a few of us admitted to the UOP IDS class of 2006, it will be great if we could help each other out and get to to meet online before classes start.

I just received the housing application and finances certification and all that stuff. I've got no idea about the housing options they offer. I thought maybe some of you might now and can help out.

Do any of you know about the UOP owned apartments close to the school?? They seem to be the best option of what they offer.

Well, hope you all join in this thread so we can get to know before hand.

adios.....

Hi Meggs,

If you have received the financial statements from UOP, can you please tell me how much is the actual fee(tution, instruments etc except living expenses) that you need to pay for the whole IDS program (all quarters)?

And if some one else also got financial statements from UCSF, can you guys post the info for UCSF?

Thanks

Grand total for the IDS Class of 2006, 2004-2005 school year:
$77,608.57, without living expenses. That's what I'm waiting for yet.

For the second year $62,490.00, also without living expenses.

Please keep this thread to UOP related stuff, thank you.

According to nalini's compiled list, these are the following people in UOP:

Dimple, freakyantra, me, neelgvc and Ritu14. (I'm assuming organic is not going there, since she's going to UCSF, the same for maxim). We have to add Shree to the list.

What have you guys accomplished so far?

I'm trying to get the school to tell me the amount of living expenses they expect us to borrow, but I guess they're out for Easter.

All I got is this 18,000 for the year on the low end of the scale (I take that as starving!), they gave that number on some letter I got.

Hi Meggs,
Thanks a lot for posting the exact fees. I will try to post the UCSF question in a new thread. Sorry about that........................

Check UCSF's 2004-2005 annual budget.

since both schools are in SF, you might get a better idea. Though, I have to say that they only allocate 384 dollars for single student's food for a whole month!!!! I am no way a big eater, nor prodigal, this number seems unreal to me....! you probably have to rise the numbers a bit.
and this is a UOP thread, I don't intend to dicuss anything related to UCSF. Just to provide info. Thanks 😱 ( I like this icon!)

If 1,700 is living around UCSF. I don't know what to expect for living in Pacific Heights.!!!

Hey Organic,
I am going to post the information you want on a UCSF website. Why dont you check there.

Megg, I don't think it makes such a difference whether it is pacific heights or areas around UCSF. I've been following up the rental market for a bit, unless you pick areas like south market or mission distr., the rents are about the same everywhere....however, Pacific height will be less likely to offer rentals with parking space and the chic neighborhood might potentially increase your living cost.

😱 ( love it!)

ok i think i am way late in posting this but

Not that I plan to drive or anything. But probably food and the rest of the typical stuff will be more expensive around there. 🙁
