Hello everyone,
I currently attend UOP in Stockton. I am in the 3+3 pre-pharmacy advantage program. Does anyone know what the average GPA was for admitted first year pharmacy students at UOP? I just got a C+ in o-chem and I'm freaking out!😡

Thanks!

As far as transfer students go, in recent years they have accepted GPAs between 2.8 and 4.0. The average GPA is usually around a 3.4.

I don't know if this includes 2+3, 3+3, or 4+3 UOP students though. Do you have to maintain a certain GPA to get through the program?

I always thought that you pretty much get in unless you screw up really bad and fail a class, considering the class of 180 is half UOP prepharm that's a lot of chances of getting. Have you heard of people from previous years not get in?

since you're a pre-pharm, as long as your math/science gpa is over 2.7 then you should be fine. don't stress over one C+ in ochem.

HEy

I would not stress too much about getting C plus in OCHEM. I got into UOP and I had a C plus in ochem. However, i definitely showed an rising trend in my grades. Instead of stressing over ur grade, I would advise you to direct your attention to improving your grade next quarter/semester.

Good Luck to YOU!

Hey DavisAggie,

Did you know that Thomas J. Long is the same guy who created Longs Drugs? Amazing huh?

Thanks everyone for their input! 😀

Oh, and yes you have to maintain a GPA of 2.7. They have changed it to 3.0 for freshman as of NOW!

oh really, i thought the 3.0 wasn't in effect yet...

nope its for freshman now! It sucks for them!

lol Who's your o chem teacher? I have Samoshin. He gave me a B- -_-" I was 11 points from a B.

All you need is a 2.70... take a math or easy science class to boost your gpa.

Is that your car? I've never seen it on campus.

Are you sure they changed the min requirements?

"(One current requirement of advancing from any of these pre-pharmacy advantage programs into our professional pharmacy program is a minimum GPA of 2.70 overall and 2.70 in selected math/science courses.)" That's still on their site.

Hey
I have Xue. I was 20 pts from a B- ! I would kill for a B-. You are lucky and shouldn't be complaining!😀

It's by boyfriends car and you will see it on campus next semester! 😛

I talked to my advisor about the GPA change. He said they put it into effect because UOP wants us to be just as competitive as transfers. Transfers have GPA's as high as 4.0's!

Are you 3+3?
