UoP Status Change on status check website

I just checked my status from UoP's status website and it changed from
under review to application complete which is very strange.
It also states for me to wait 7-8 weeks instead of 4-8 weeks.
Does anybody have similar issue as me?
Do you think that they pushed back my application?
I'm nervous because UoP is my top choice school....

I went ahead and checked mine after reading this post, and it happened to me too!! 😕

Under "status" mine says "Allow 6 weeks to process materials for review".

Same deal here...changed from "file is in review"/4-6 weeks to "application complete"/7-8 weeks. GRR that's annoying...wonder what's up...

They're accepting applications already? I want to apply to their pre-dental highschool advantage program. The dates look a bit off, they're talking about the deadlines for last year..will they update it anytime soon?

And will they accept december SAT scores?

yea same here. 😕...is this a nice way of saying "you're rejected" or "we'll hold your app for future considerations."?

Mine hasn't change yet 😕 it is still Under review but I called and the lady said your file is been Complete since August 20th after they received my DAT scores.

I just checked my status too and it also has changed to 7-8 weeks, but I got a call from UOP yesterday to schedule an interview.

So I am guessing that they changed everyone's status for those applications they are finished with reviewing.

I doubt it, I think it's a good sign that someone with this message got a call. It means we won't actually have to wait 7 weeks.

i called UoP earlier this week. they said they already started calling ppl for interviews for at least this early october to mid-october interviews.
guess i'll have to wait too..

I think the status recently changed but the "last updated" date still says "8/20/2009" for me

i called today. they said it was just to make it more clear to applicants that their application is complete and that it will be 7-8 weeks for review. people were unsure if it was under review for completion or actually complete

No it meant actually under review and the first round picks got chosen, my friend had the same staus as me(and the rest of us) and the same day my status changed to "7-8 weeks" she recieved a call for an interview.(I wish it was the other way around!)

Does anyone know how many interviews will be given out pre-Dec 1? UoP seems like they haven't given out that many interviews. When is the next batch going to be given out or is it rolling?

Have you guys heard back from the school (interview invites/rejections... or anything) since the status change? How long did it take from the change until you received the news? Mine changed on the 25th, and I know this change is their way of indicating that your app is on its way to a review or is under review (i called and asked) but how long should i expect to wait to hear back from them??

I think one person got an interview days after his/her status changed.

🙂 ok guys no reason to Panic , many of the people who have gotten accepted to UOP had this status (app completed) , it just means they don't need anything else form you right now, and does not mean you have got rejected, I, myself got and interview after my status changed from under review to application complete. I actually got the interview way after this change like a month or two after. So just relax.

My friend got an interview and she said that the lady in admissions said " they work backwards" or sumthin reguarding interviews and the interview is pretty much just to meet you and make sure you speak good english and everything, so if you get an invite it pretty much means your in(for the most part)

It seems like ~80% of the pre-dent folks that got interviews last year were either accepted or waitlisted.

that was probably for the last couple spots, im pretty sure that pre-dec 1st's are for sure then later not so much....plus predent is not 100% accurate, and you dont know the exact situations..

Quoting the letter UoP sent out in July
"We anticipate approximately 250 students will be interviewed for the 140 seats"
You have to figure a large number of those students interviewed have other top choices and end up going elsewhere.

This ratio of students interviewed to students enrolled at UoP is really low since many students prefer the school(reputation + 3year deal). Compare this with USC where they interview over 500 students for ~140seats...
Anyhow, I think the 80% rate is conceivable.
