Up to how many recommendation letters should be sent?

My committee is sending a composite letter packer with invidual letters, she wants to know which letters I want to include. I have about 10+ letters. How many should I include, I feel 8 of them are really good and have a hard time narrowing it down.

Whats the most # of letters that is recommended to send?

I've heard 10 is the max that should be sent to a single school, but I don't know where I heard that. It might have been my pre-health advisor. 8 is still kind of overkill. 5-6 is probably a better number to shoot for, but sending 8 won't hurt you if you just can't narrow it down.

For individual letters, each school has its own requirements. This can range from schools like Emory which explicitly discourage sending more than three, while schools like OHSU have no maximum. Each school will have this number listed either in the MSAR or on their website.
