Hello!

I am an upcoming senior in NY and am planning on applying next year in 2020! I was wondering what my chances were for D.O. schools as I will only be applying to them. My GPA's are my biggest concern but I think I have good EC's.

cGPA: 3.3
sGPA: 3.2

MCAT: 504

Clinical Activities

- Worked as a medical assistant in a pediatric medical office for 1.5 years (10 hours a week and 20 hours a week in the summer = approximately 1000 hours) where I welcomed patients, verified patient information, prepared rooms for patients, performed preliminary physical tests such as taking blood pressure, weight and temperature, reported patient history summary, kept supplies ready, recorded treatment and test results, performed routine lab tests.

- Volunteered at Mount Sinai for 1 year (250 hours)

- Volunteered at local medical office for 1 year (200 hours)

- Volunteered at hospital in Bangladesh when I visited for a summer between my sophomore and junior year (3 months = 100 hours)

I suggest these schools with your stats:
NYIT (all schools)
LECOM (all schools)
MU-COM
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
BCOM
UIWSOM
TUNCOM
ARCOM
ACOM
CUSOM
VCOM (all 4 schools)
Work on increasing your cGPA and sGPA during your senior year.

If I were to get my cumulative gpa up to around a 3.4 and science gpa about to a 3.3, do you think I'd be a competitive applicant for DO schools?
