Just called Pitt regarding the waitlist... I was told that rankings had already been established, and that acceptances would be offered to ppl on the list in June...

when I asked whether I should send updates now or wait until May, she repeated "you are already ranked on the waitlist." Although who ever reviews the file will see the letter, should I assume that it will not change the rankings??? at least that is the impression i am getting... 😕

I've been told by schools that if two people have a "similar" ranking, they will choose the person who shows more interest.

Hi- I am on the waitlist at Duke and was told by my interviewer there to write a letter, so it must mean something, at least there! (although I do know their waitlist is ranked, too) I'd say just write it- what do you have to lose?
