update letter question

i go to a school on the quarter system and i'm planning on submitting my amcas on june 1 (so my spring quarter grades won't show up on my application). i was wondering if its kind of an unspoken requirement that i send at least one update letter with my spring quarter grades as soon as they come out. i was gonna send an update letter but much later in the summer.

It's probably a good idea, especially if you're taking any pre-reqs/your grades are good this quarter.
