Update Letter with grades for retaken course?

Should I write an update letter that contains the grades I've received during the application cycle. My GPA is ~3.4 and I retook first quarter OChem earning an A instead of the C+ I got the first time through. I also got an A in an online writing course I took to satisfy a pre-req for a particular program that already rejected me.

Are these grades with a note that I'm still working/volunteering/taking more classes worth an update to schools receptive to updates? I don't mind if it's a low yield activity but I don't want to hurt my chances for late IIs.

If the school is receptive to updates, I don't see how it could hurt. Especially given that you've gotten an A in ochem. I could also see it not helping very much, which is what all the ad com ppl on SDN are going to tell you. I updated my schools last month and got 2 interviews afterwards though, so who knows!
