Accepted abstracts aren't that big a deal for medical school applications. If you were applying to my lab and you told me you would be at a meeting where I would be presenting, that might be interesting to me... but that's not how it works for medical school admissions.

It’s for a clinical trial that I am the lead coordinator on and have accrued 8 patients on treatment. clinically relevant if that changes anything?

About half of the faculty represented on an admissions committee are basic scientists at most MD schools, so I argue it doesn't change anything.
