Does anyone else feel like a complete jackass when writing letters to admissions commitees to update their files. It takes me way too long to write a simple sentence. Being on the waitlist blows

Yup, agreed. It's sad but true that groveling helps your case on the waitlist, even though it doesn't do much for your self-esteem.
