Warning this is likely going to be very neurotic but I have no experience or knowledge of update letters to schools.

Just for some context I have over 6000 patient care hours over 5.5 years as an EMT and a little over 4000 research hours (2 academic institutions and then a start up company)

I have left the start up company due to several factors but I will be starting a clinical research coordinator position. I think the position would be classified more as clinical experience since I’m working directly with patients in a doctor’s office type setting for these studies. So my question is, should I update schools on this change? I put anticipated hours for the research position before I knew i would be leaving but I’m not sure telling schools I’m going to be doing more clinical hours when I already have plenty is meaningful enough to warrant an update letter.

Thank you for your help!!

It's too early and will have no effect.
Thank you! I definitely wasn't planning on doing it right now, I would have waited until I was in the role for a bit. I guess it was more of a question if it would have much of an impact on my application to begin with to even worry about in a month or two. ie someone who has no clinical hours but then gets a clinical job I think would be significant.
