Unsure if this is appropriate forum etiquette, but I have not posted since my first some two years ago.

That two-year (plus) duration is indicative of the persistent interest I have had in pursuing a medical career. I have hesitated to take the plunge because of financial constraints, but I am finally growing willing to overcome monetary worries in order to pursue my dream. So, I figured a new intro here is in order.

I attended the University of South Florida and graduated with a B.A. in international studies and religious studies. I graduated from their Honors College with a 3.72 cumulative GPA.

Since, I have been working for the Federal Aviation Administration, composing regulatory policy in D.C. I have been working here since 2010. I am currently 29 years old.

My intent is to complete post-baccalaureate studies. As I would like to work professionally on the west coast, I am very interested in the program of this sort at Cal State East Bay. The program also seems to fit me in terms of other factors I consider valuable in a program.

As I want to give this investment into my future plenty of thought, I do not plan to enroll until fall, 2014.

I look forward to active participation in this forum and to gaining more information here (as it has already proven a data-rich tool).

Thank you!

Thank you.

No questions yet. Well, maybe: I'm considering studying for, and then taking the GRE. But I am sort of set on Cal State East Bay which seems to fit my needs, and doesn't require the GRE. But I would consider the GRE endeavor worthwhile if it would open doors to programs of higher esteem than the one I am considering. So... I guess the question is: Would it?

But, that's about it.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Will have my nose buried deep in the wealth of data here.

I think it depends on the particular schools and programs you are thinking of; I guess I don't feel like I have enough info to answer with any more specifics. I'm sure whatever schools and programs you are thinking about will have info on the websites about required standardized tests.
