Updating 1st Semester Senior Grades

Hey SDN,

Like you, I received the following message;
"11/16/2012 : Dear ADEA AADSAS Applicant:

You are now eligible to participate in the 2013 ADEA AADSAS Academic Update (AU). You can begin the Academic Update only after your ADEA AADSAS application has been mailed to your designated dental schools. All applications complete for at least one designation on or before January 17th, 2013 will become eligible for the Academic Update. "

Are we required to submit an update to our coursework + transcripts or is this optional?

I think for the most part its optional. I already used my academic update in November for my summer grades.... oh well.

Ask your school. Some require it, some strongly encourage it and some don't care.

Why wouldn't you do the academic update? Doesn't it look suspicious if you don't?
