I am currently on two WLs and have been encouraged by the schools to submit new LORs. Does it make sense to have someone who already wrote me a LOR submit an updated one? Or are they only looking for letters from new letter writers?
The specifics on my situation: The old letter writer who I would ask for an updated letter is my current PI who I am very close with. Since the previous letter, we have published one paper and are very close to submitting a second (I am first author on both). The new letter writer is a physician at a breast cancer clinic that I am volunteering at. I have only been working there for a little over a month.
