So I have received my Fall semester grades for undergrad and got a 3.86 this semester which raises my overall GPA a little. Perhaps of most interest to medical schools was a course in which I assisted with clinical research (got an A in it). Now I have searched but the threads regarding this are fairly old and I am interested in what others have done THIS cycle.

What is the proper/ideal manner by which I should notify schools with which my application is still pending of my most recent grades? What about schools with which I have interviewed or have a future interview with? Has anyone else had success doing this?

Any help is appreciated.

I second this question, what format do you let schools know about your fall grades?

Thanks,
Alex

The opening of my letter just stated the purpose of the letter, to send some updates regarding my application that may help the committee make a decision on my file. I also told the schools I have interviews at that I was honored they extended an interview to me and that I look forward to meeting them/seeing the school.

For grades, I mentioned my semester GPA and one notable course. Then I said what my new cGPA and sGPAs were. I continued to talk about my research from this semester.

Next was an update on my extracurriculars and all non-academic stuff.

Finally ended by thanking them and saying that I looked forward to hearing from them regarding a decision.

Make sure it is less than a page. No reason to write an essay.

So you did not include a transcript so they could verify these grades?
