In upenn application, there is an essay question that asks u to talk about any activities that demonstrate the ability to work with people, what does that exactly mean? does it refer to working on patients? or it means sth related to group wok?

write abt specific trips / work / camps that u have done outside ur routine dental work...as in, led a team for dental camp or helped organise a event in college..things like that..

as pointed out by u, these are only suggestions, ultimately its upto u..

Well, if you were dentist from your original country, you should definitely know how to communicate with your patients, how to deal with all kinds of people. Just write it down.
