I have a dillema!

I applied to do an elective in either Baylor college of Medicine, Houston TX or University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. During the month of November. I have now been approved by both programs. But I can only do one of them, as they are taking place at the same time!
Both Electives are for Infectious diseases.

I need help deciding which place is better to do the elective. Anyone know these schools well? who could help?

Oh, thank God - I thought this was some irritating pre-med trying to pick a school and came here to tell them where to go! :meanie:

Well, I go to UPenn, and though I dropped my ID elective, I hear it is very cool at all three of our sites, Pennsy, Presby, and HUP; each place boasts experts in the ID field.

On the other hand, I'm sure the same can be said for Baylor. The bottom line is which institution and location you are most interested in overall, right? You will learn alot either way.

The VA hospital in Houston (staffed by BCM faculty) has quite a few big names in ID and it's supposed to be a great (although tough) rotation to do.

I agree with the last reply--it'll probably be a great learning experience either way.

Would you rather be really cold in November or just starting fall in November? hehe
