Medical Uploading an additional LOR from an MD this late in cycle

I am on 3 waitlists and have recently received a LOR from an MD that I will use for DO schools next cycle if I need to reapply. I have looked at the DO schools and most don't care if it is an MD or a DO LOR. I realize that some prefer a DO LOR.

But my question is for this cycle....is it weird to upload this new LOR to my AMCAS application (for this current 2021 cycle). It's quite a good LOR from an MD I shadowed, and was wondering if the 3 schools where I am waitlisted 1). Would read it at all? And if, so would it make a difference? 2). Would view it as strange or see this late LOR as a negative?

As with most things this late in the cycle, this isn't going to move the needle. If you're always going to wonder what would have happened, then by all means upload it if it gives you mental peace knowing you "did everything," as it's not going to hurt.

At this point you're kind of treating your own anxiety.
