Urban or Rural

I have decided against rural because of the workload. I talked with several doctors who have practiced medicine in rural areas. They ended up working 365 days a year 24/7. Since the groups are usually too small for coverage, docs couldn't really take time off.

Well, pretty much rural. I want to be near my family in Fresno. I'll even consider getting a faculty position at UC Merced and just being affliated with UCSF here. I think it's really extremely important for kids to have their extended family around them.
