I just submitted my primary application and since i m a second time student, my application rolled over from last year. I didnt even realize this last year but the course years on my transcript did not match up with the course years on my application. I submitted it today and i realized the big mistake i made...i am about to cry now...
i am most certainly going to withdraw my application and fix it but how bad is it going to hurt me? Does this mean i wont get in this year either??? 🙁

Don't freak out. You are still plenty early and there is time to correct any mistakes. Call AMCAS and ask them how to proceed.

if worst case scenario i have to withdraw it, can i reapply it again this year? also would med schools see it that i withdrew this year? any ideas??

you know what, let it roll, because they have the transcript verification process that's designed to to give a second pair of eyes to that stuff. it they catch it, and fix it, that's what they're *supposed* to do, because this stuff happens when the batch of applications is so big. and if they don't catch it, it's likely not something that will even really stand out when eyes are really just scanning to get snagged on a C or to note lots of As etc.

Unless there are a huge number of missing courses or errors you're fine, I listed every one of my 21 grad quarter-hour classes incorrectly, Aamcas just fixed it when they reviewed the primary last year, no add'l time that I could tell for them to do this (beyond their 4+ week review period)

Can't hurt to call them to ask, I recall when I spoke with them last year, they said if there were more than a certain number of classes listed on transcripts sent to them but not keyed into the primary application there would be extra review time or they'd return the primary to the applicant, I think the threshold was around 6 classes, a few missing classes or errors are no big deal.

hey guys...thanks soo much for the input...that definitely made me feel better...little things just throw me off these days...u can tell the stress of the process is getting to me now...but it really is nice to know i m not the only one who made mistakes on it...i will call them just to make sure but it was really helpful to get the insight...thanks a bunch!!

yeah cateyezz, don't worry, that's not a huge deal. i know how you feel from experience. i freaked out no doubt much worse than you about seemingly every single little thing that could possibly be freaked out about. like gman said, just call amcas and ask them what you should do.

good luck to you! 👍
