Hi everyone, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to view my post to give me some advice. My main concern is the 124 in the c/p section. Will this be below the cut off for many schools and greatly limit my chances?
I have created a school list and attached it below. I am trying to move to the northeastern region and I have a very strong preference for a school in an urban environment with a strong research department, especially since I'll likely be living in that location long term. My intended specialty is psychiatry or neurology so schools with strong psych and neuro departments is also something I'm looking for.
1. cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS or AACOMAS
2. MCAT score(s) and breakdown
3. State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US)
4. Ethnicity and/or race
5. Undergraduate institution or category
6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer)
8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented
9. Non-clinical volunteering
10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc)
11. Relevant honors or awards
12. Anything else not listed you think might be important
