I was just wondering what you guys think the average stats/resume looks like of an African American URM that gets into the top 5 med schools (Harvard, Hopkins, Stanford, etc).

Instead of a 520 you might get away with a 518+. What are you trying to get at? Give us something we can work with.

I think assuming you have average ECs/application package for a top school candidate then a 33-4/515-ish should give you a good shot.

The average numbers for all acceptances to Harvard are around 3.8 GPA and 516-518ish MCAT. Do you think the average stats for accepted African American students is the same?

No, it isn't. I'd guess it's probably at least a 3.5-3.6/32-33. What are you asking? Do you want to know if you're competitive?

Most likely fairly similar.

Someone I know well involved in admissions at a top 20 school told me about a year ago for them it's around a 3.7/30-31.

OP,
I am also a URM as well. But my mentality is to not use this a crutch or an excuse to slack off. I'm holding myself to the same standards as everyone else, and working to be the best that I personally can be and to be competitive solely on merit.

Then at the point being URM will be icing on the cake.🙂

That's the the average score for a URM to get into a top 20? That seems quite low compared to the overall average😵

Depends on the top 20. If its a state school which takes mostly in state applicants then the stats will be low anyway.

UNC is a very nice school with pretty reasonably stats for in state students.
