URM, What are my chances

Hey, URM here (puerto rican) I was just wondering what are my chances as I am starting to freak out a bit. I have 3.2 cgpa, 3.31 spa and a 512 MCAT. I have done tons of volunteer work in hospitals (>100 hrs), shadowed many physicians (>100hrs), doing epigenetic research (>150 hrs) which should be published and I am a part time mechanic. I want to get into uconn as I live in CT

I would apply broadly to low-tier MD schools and some DO schools. UCONN will be a bit of a reach but you can apply. Consider schools like Quinnipiac (Netter), U of Vermont, Rosalind Franklin and DO schools.

I really doubt it. Your GPA is pretty low. Your MCAT is median. Your ECs arent great. Someone else might be more optimistic.

Despite your lethal GPAs for MD schools for most applicants, your URM status and 512 MCAT should carry you well as long as you apply broadly and add the PR Schools on your list.
