Anyone who is currently in the navy or army reserves (part time) doing the one weekend per year career path have any insight to benefits of doing this? I am already working full time although given inability to acquire locums, was considering doing this for the experience and to keep things interesting in my career. Would love to hear anyones insight that is currently doing this or has done it in the past!

Check out the military sub. I did National Guard though med school/residency and as an attending. Unless you are super hardcore about the military, don't do it. Not worth it. Feel free to PM me.
