We can use this tread to share our experience with USC... Please share your experiences... Does any one know what is the NBDE part 1 average for USC? and when are they going to start interview calls?
 
they will probably send email around 3 rd october and int may be in 26 th 27 october
 
did you called them and enquired. i think there exam get clashed with ucsf or uop . its better to cal, them and ask
 
I think we should all request them by calling up or e-mailing, that the interview dates be arranged so that they don't clash.
It'll be too late once the interview calls are sent out..

I called them and asked... they said.. they will be sending out invites for interview first week of Oct. and will be interview on Oct 23 and Oct 24.

no benefit by calling them its happen every year

you can try good luck......
 
see i mentioned .so thosse are going to uop have to think ,where they have to go.
 
Generally they conduct interviews on Oct last weekend every year..sunday and monday..thats how their pattern was..On those lines this year its supposed to be Oct 25th and 26th..No idea why they have changed their timing this time...

I called them just now. The lady told me that they are going to send the interview invitations in the first week of october and the interview is going to be on 25th and 26th of october. when asked she told that these dates are confirmed and they are not going to change the days. So, there might be clash between UCSF and USC interview dates. Thanks.
 
but dentist 84 asked them and they said its going to be on 23/24 oct . can u please clear us because i am really worried as i have to go to uop for 23/24

I think I was clear in my previous post. Sorry if I was not clear. I wrote what I heard from the lady who answered my call. You can try contacting them if you want to. Thanks.
 
I called them again.. and I stand corrected.. the interviews will be on Oct 25 and 26..

why cant they understand that they'r going to loose some great talent this way..
its wrong to clash any interview dates..esp year after year..
neways, I doubt anything can be done now.
 
Its confirmed for the 25th and 26th of October..I just received an email from them..they will let us know on the 1st week of october..if u received similar email post it here..interview date.....and attachment of PBL curriculum.

i too received an email from ashlee confirming the interview dates to be oct. 25th and 26th..
however, it says my application is under review..does your email say u r a likely candidate for interview? if so, i don't see my chances of getting an interview..

Even mine says UNDER REVIEW. NOT THAT I AM LIKELY A CANDIDATE! TOOTH PIK PLEASE CLEAR OUR DOUBT!!!!!!!!!!
 
Hi .... got a similar email saying application is under review .....
invitations will be send b/w 1 & 9 Oct ... interviews will be on 25 & 26 Oct
there will be preps that will be told on d day of exam & PBL .... All d best everyone

I also received same email they are sending this email to each and every candidate or those candidate who have chances to call for interview ?

yes, me too. just received the email.....they will let us know by 1st oct.
i had asked a senior of mine about the interview at USC. she told me that USC calls most of the applicants as they have more seats and also they have the capacity to interview many students. so unless u have major problems with your applications... all of those who applied will get a interview call....

the actual admissions are decided on the basis of interview and bench test....

So, all the best everyone.

I also heard same .they are calling around 150 applicant each year and select only 30 out of 150
 
got the same e-mail as "under review"........:xf:

hmmm... strong competition.
but thats the case everywhere.....nearly all schools call almost 5 times the number of available seats.
 
every one who applied received same email so don't think that who received email they all will get interview call so keep finger crossed till octo 1st

I mean what do you think really matters to them to invite or reject a person for an interview call. My board scores are average, my gpa is high my TOEFl is above 100 too! but I am not sure what they are looking for? does anybody know the minimum score that USC would call for an interview????😴😕

they call candidate who have part 1 >=86, toefl 95, gpa doesn't matter

this was the last year situation for this year God knows

They have send this email each and every candidate who applied

so we cant guess any thing this email just wait until october 1 st

Is part 2 score compulsory for USC, even I applied for USC but I didnot receive any mail till now.

hey guys...
even i received the same e-mail.....but im concerned abt the number of ppl they r callin for interviews....that would mean that the chances of gettin in would also be much tougher....
 
sure getting in may be a bit tough but USC is a great school with loads of clinical exposure. everyone shuld try and practice the PBL before the interview. Its basically like a group discussion on a Case-report. the moderator of these PBL's will see how you come to your diagnosis and how you make up the treatment plan.
there will most likely be no interviews at USC..just the preps and the PBL.
so if you are confident of your preps, focus on the PBL.

part 2 in not compulsory
confirm with USC that your application is completed sometimes if they not receive document before deadline they consider your application incomplete

Hi,
PBL means problem based learning..its a method of evaluating a case, understanding everything about it and then getting a solution logically.
this is in a nutshell. the email sent by usc has a link to the PBL website of USC, which gives a generalised idea of the process.

I guess they will send further details when they send the interview packet.
 
oh gosh...this is so not fair....interview dates clash w/ ucsf this year again but last year they didnt....I should have just saved my $150 ...but knowing my luck the dates would have not clashed then LOL
 
Friends, 3 more days to go.. Good luck to all... As you get your invite please post your Stats and when did you get the interview invite.. That will be help all of us to kind a guess where we stand...Thanks in advance to all...

i tried contacting them regarding the dates...because its clashing with ucsf interviews....

but they doesnt seem to be responding positively..

did anyone get apostitive reply???
