so are we supposed to get a pre-req checklist before or after the interview invitation? Because all i have received from them is an acknowledgment that my application packet is complete.... if someone could clarify the procedure for me that would be great.. thanks

Good luck to everyone receiving e-mails today. Worst comes to worst, reapply next year.

I know how it feels as I am a reapplicant. I turned in my application first thing this year around and received an interview for November (unlike last year where I turned it in a few days before the deadline - also finished up 100% of my pre-reqs vs. 85-90% of them last year). I am still on AC , so wish me luck too 👍

good luck koercive! is AC like putting you on the waitlist?
For reapplicant, how many new letter of recs you have to submit again? Did you have to re-write your essays?
I am thinking to reapply

have you given up on ucsd and ucsf as well, or is usc just your first choice?
i would prefer to go to my second choice school rather than have to re-apply and wait a whole year.

apparently it's a big deal to send fall transcripts directly to them, and to have finished pre-reqs if your gpa is less than stellar.
they will send out invites starting today, and all through next week.

I got a "lack letter" via email sometime after I submit my application, and then another lack letter after I sent into my Fall 2008 transcript.

AC is being put on "hold." We might or not get in by April.

You need at least 1 LOR for most schools, but I'm not sure about all of them.

I had to rewrite every single one of my essays. PharmCAS/ every single supplemental

I only got interviews from 3 schools --usc, ucsd, uop. I didn't do well on ucsd interview.. I read that ucsd sent out acceptance letters already. I haven't gotten one.
uop = on hold, usc = AC... I believe that on hold is like rejection.🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁... so no chance for me this year..so I am thinking to reapply to improve myself next year..

so all schools in CA require only an additional/new LOR from re-applicant, right?

well you have to manually input EVERYTHING into pharmCAS again. Nothing carries over.

damn really? i never got a lack letter never got anything from them just a acknowledgement that my application was recieved. I will take this as a rejection :-(... this was my top choice too :-(

koercive, thx for your help? how about the old LORs? I have 4 LORs this year. Will they carry over if I apply again next year
? If I ask my professors and pharmacists re-write letter again this year, they are gonna be mad... I know how busy they were this year when I asked them to offer me letters..

Yes, you will have to ask them to redo their part. I know that's a pain to ask them to do it because they are busy and sometimes they may get annoyed. You still need one LOR from a new recommender though.

I still haven't gotten my email of the day yet. Probably in one hour??

Same here, I'd like to be put out of my misery soon. Ever since I got rejected from UCSD things have gone downhill for me in every aspect. Ugh.

Actually from what I have researched/asked, you don't need them to redo it as those are kept on file. Minimally, you need one brand new LOR (I did more thinking it might help)

Yea, I'm a reapplicant this year too and I had 3 new LORs. I guess that doesn't really help much. Oh well, I shall find out soon. I hope you get accepted from the AC list! :luck:
 
I feel like my Gmail notifier is never gonna turn blue with a new message. :laugh: USC is sure dragging this out. An hour and a half left before they close for the day....

i just got an interview invite!!!!!!!! i received the email 2:05 pm. YAAYYYY!!!!!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
 
I got an official invite today as well, just noticed it now.

same here i did not get anything yet... :-( all they told me was that they will send all interview invites by the end of the week and its 5:00 PM now and rejection letters will follow after i guess i did not make the cut :-🙂mad:
 
if i have gotten rejected why they dont just make it easier and just say it why do they wait to the last minute get like my hopes up and then just crush em... i guess they find amusement in this..

On the bright side, you have gotten accepted to a 3-year school and you just had an interview at UCSF. You also have 2 other interview offers coming up in March. 🙂 I know I really want to stay close to home, at least within driving distance such as USC and Western. I guess we still have Western to look forward to. :xf:

i agree must stay positive i rahther stay here in socal then go to glendale az for 3 years but with that being said must stay positive... 😀

I know this is off topic, but I noticed that you have gotten rejected for Colorado already. I know they don't invite anyone anymore, but I thought they send out rejection letters in March?

idk i guess not i got an email from the admissions office saying that i was not offered an interview. that was it. no further explanation was given just the usual how they were filled with applicants this year etc etc.. yea :-(
 
soooo if we did not receive an email from them today, we're rejected? greeeeeeeeat.
 
Just curious, how many acceptance spots are still open for the March interviewees?

Looks like it. Rejections are supposed to be sent out after today. It's been a bad week. :cry:

The directions say you have to fax it in. You need to register/create an account on the financial aid website and then it will provide you with the cover and end sheet you need to fax in your SuppForm. I put NOT ENROLLING for summer of 09 and '10.
 
i know this is a dumb question but are you suppose to fax both the graduate supplemental general form and graduate supplmental pharmacy school form?

It's March 21st, which is a Saturday. Mine is at 10:25 am.
