🙁 You didn't get anything today either? You live in SoCal right? I think I remember reading that they have a numbered waitlist that they give out after the last group of people get their acceptances. Sigh, I'm ready to get this cycle over with. I really wanted to go to USC, but I just want to just know for sure if I'm rejected or not. This inbetween is just too much.
Well when I called the admissions office this morning the lady told me that they haven't even sent out the letters yet. Besides only 2 people have posted that they received something today from USC. I remember the dean saying during the march interview that there was approximately 50 seats open left. So you never know!

I'm not giving up hope yet. I guess if July rolls around, and I don't hear anything, I'll probably just give up then. There's still some time from now and then and some people will be giving up their spots. I guess we'll know in a week or two what's going on. I think I'm gonna quit visiting the pre-pharm forums until I'm sure what's going on. They're only making it worse. 😛

I also have the same feeling that all the acceptances have been sent out to the acceptees... I am sorry about being pessimistic here... But they usually send out the good ones first, and the bad ones follow... I hope I am wrong... I really hope that I am wrong... Anyways, Good luck to everyone who is still waiting...

Did u interview on March 21?...think of it this way since there was 50 spots available..more people would of posted that they got in or what not...i dont know though. You might be right..who knows :/
My friend who also interviewed on March 21st also was accepted today by mail. She also lives in the bay area. So I think there was definitely a batch of acceptance letters that had gone out yesterday and today. Good luck to all of you still waiting. I hope you all get in! 😀
As for my UCSF acceptance, I will likely be turning down my seat at UCSF to go to USC. So that helps out those of you also waiting on UCSF! 😀

Oh, no... I was interviewed long time ago, like in January. I am one the AC people, who is still anxiously waiting for an answer.

It usually takes me 3 days to get things from SoCal, so if mail was sent out on the 8th, I'd get something tomorrow or Monday at the latest (if I did get anything at all). I'm just waiting to see what happens with this last group because I know some people are going to turn their acceptances, so it's not over yet.

My friend who interviewed March 21st also got an acceptance yesterday too. There was definitely a good chunk sent out already. Izerkfan, maybe they were implying they hadn't sent rejections/waitlist letters.

I've been reading the UCSF thread, and I want to tell them all that too. "GO TO UCSF!" I'm hoping USC did/do the AC people and the last group separately. Except for two people from last Friday, I haven't heard any one else here mention they've been accepted from AC. I also want to know if they email them first then send them a letter or just send them the letter without emailing them, that way I can just focus on my email or the mailbox. 😛

LOL you are taking all of htis to a whole new level... go out there and tell everyone to not go to USC so they can give up their spots! LOL don't worry, I'm guessing USC has not sent out all their notices since so many people still have not heard. You will hear from them one way or another and hopefully soon. And about the AC list, I'm guessing they take people off the AC list and accept people from interviews simultaneously since a number of people have already been accepted from the AC list. It also seems like people are being notified by email and by regular mail. Good luck!

I'm going to get a big sign and stand in front of USC telling everyone to go to UCSF. I'm just going to stop stressing about it. If it happens, I'll be thrilled beyond belief, if not then I do have other options, so all is not lost. Congrats to those who did get accepted, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those that are still waiting like me. 
Still, those who got into both UCSF and USC, I say go to UCSF.

Wow.. it seems like people who already received letters from USC were accepted. Therefore, I am assuming that if you did not receive a letter by now, its either going to be a rejection or you will be put on the AC list. Great.............

Most likely Wingate in NC. I'm still waiting to hear back from Western (I'm on the wait list there too). We shall see. I'm really trying to stay positive.

The last couple years it's been pretty much, if you don't get an acceptance after the March interview, then in early May you get a letter asking if you want to be put on a waitlist. Usually 40 or so people still get taken off the waitlist over the summer as AC from different schools get pulled off and there's this massive mixing of who accepts at one school, declining another, opening a new slot, causing another acceptance/rejection pairing and so on. It's an interesting dynamic to watch if you're not the one waiting for the acceptance. (It wasn't nearly as fun to be on the AC and waiting in 07 as it was to watch last year when I was already a student.) Anyhow, don't lose hope yet, save that for Mid-July.😱

It's good to know there's some movement going on in the summer. I'm not losing hope just yet. I did pick a date that I'm going to throw in the towel though. July 20th. I hope I don't have to wait that long.

Probably. Like other people have been saying, USC seems to release their acceptance letters on the same day then give the bad news. However, I got my AC email the same day people got their acceptance letters, so it seems so random sometimes. Do you like in the SoCal area?

Well, this is the first year they've done electronic interview invites and acceptances, so who knows what other changes they've made, but normally, you'll either have an acceptance or you'll get the "Do you want to be on the waitlist?" letter. After that you get a number. Used to be the numbers were updated (they new your new number, but you didn't) when they got new transcripts (spring classes, etc). Not sure how it'll work this year. Probably similar, no guarantee it'll be the same though.

Nope, I'm in a different state. That's why I'm hoping to get a letter tomorrow or Monday. I had my interview on Feb. 21st, and I received an AC email from them the same day people received their acceptance letter. It was Friday the 13th actually. 🙄 They said they'd keep us updated, so if I don't get an acceptance, I'd like to know where I stand.
As far as the AC list..I think they will wait until everyone has made their decisions from the March interview date..and then they will start trying to pull off people from the AC list when people accepted to USC decide to go to some other university. Hang in though! Goodluck with everything!!

HI =) I also received my acceptance letter yesterday via mail (no email). It was dated 4/8 from 3/21 interview. And I'm located in SD.

I'm a long time lurker of this forum and I always check this thread almost daily lol. I just wanna let you guys know that I have just received an acceptance letter from USC. I live in the Bay Area.
I only applied to 3 schools this year: UOP, USC and UCSF. I got waitlisted at UOP... 😴, got accepted at UCSF 🙂 on March 20th and now USC has just accepted me!! USC is my first choice too! Yay! I already sent a deposit to UCSF 2 weeks ago though since I dont know if i got in USC or not... Now I have to choose between USC and UCSF...
I have given this a lot of thoughts and I want to go to USC since the school is very nice and I want to get out of the Bay Area badly... UCSF, though a very nice institution, is not right for me. That plus that cold and foggy climate of SF is the main factor why I want to go to the sunny LA!
Anyway, I think both schools are really good and you can't go wrong with either. USC finally! Here I come!

oh great...so i think its definitely true now...if you haven't received a letter by now from USC, you are most likely to be put on the AC list. So how many people are going to turn down their offer from USC?

It's looking that way. Any AC people other than the two from last week get accepted this week? I haven't heard about any other AC people getting accepted this week. I'm really hoping we get an update soon so we can at least know where we stand.

Totally!The strange thing is that only like 8 people out of 40-50 (acceptances available according to the dean during the March 21 interview) have said that they have received a letter from USC and it was an acceptance letter. Maybe many people don't use SDN as I thought that they do?

I was thinking the same thing since I didn't get anything in the mail today. I want to be as optimistic as possible but I wouldn't be surprised if I get my 4th AC letter (been on the AC list since November) 👎

My letter did not mention anything about the number of people accepted from the last batch of interview or from the AC list.
and yes I will be declining my seat at Western first thing next week...hope that helps anyone who's waiting for a spot there.
