Hi! Sorry if this question is a little trivial but is there a dress code for USC school of pharmacy? And for orientation, is there a specific wear for that?? It just hit me that maybe grad school isn't the same loose bummy wear as undergrad =x Thanks you guys!

Shorts, t-shirt (USC logo) and a cap (USC logo preferred) and a pair of flip-flops. Shower is optional

no dress code at all, except for Dr. Baron's class and rotations....everyone wears business casual for him, other then that - wear whatever you want

Edit,

My SC buddy c/o 1990 who's visiting for a week just said my previous post is an outrage.. he said shorts, tanktop, and no shoes.

Mel can afford his fine wardrobe collection.. he had a huge ostomy business.

you can skip flossing and brushing your teeth, that'll save u some time.

Many times, I would get up at 7:55... walk down Seaver and hang out in the lobby before the class.. and make it to class by 8:15.

oh thank god! i don't have to ship off my bummy street clothes to the salvation army just yet.. 🙂

Everything in my closet is totally beach bum ho.

well ive bought some nice things but i regret giving up my true inner style (Beach bum ho)..like im totally nto a conformist 😡

i know you do.

so do I actually

goodness icant believe im wearing "slacks". I've totally sold out.

It is funny. I remember during welcome week I tried to dress really professional and it was freaken hot. Now, I am like whatever. A friend even suggested to "dress me up" a couple of weeks ago.

However, I do suggest that you buy a couple set of casual clothes for externship, health fairs, Dr. Baron's class, white coat ceremony, conferences, etc. You guys will have a good time at usc.

As BMB said, have a selection of slacks, dress shirts and nice tops ready because we've planned ALOT of professional events within each organization on campus that will require "business attire" (suits not necessary).

Just curious, are there gonna be night events (eg socials) during orientation? =)

not nights but during the 1st wk, there will be a party on thursday.

yeah, we are throwing a Back-to School Party on the 25th of August at Guy's in Los Angeles (near the Beverely Center) and also Tri-Frat night in early September. you'll hear all about it this week 🙂
