Hi, I'll be going to USC next fall (woohoo!) I interviewed on 12/3 and was accepted on 12/10 (yeah, I know, craziness!). Seeing as I got absolutely no love from UC's (no interviews even) even though I'm a cali resident with a 3.8 Berkeley GPA and a 32Q MCAT, I feel very lucky to be staying in CA! I'm thinking about coming to that new student reception too, so maybe I'll see some fellow SDN folks! Good luck to all!

actually the first year i stayed with never took biochemistry. she told them she would take it over the summer and just never bothered after being accepted. not advocating this, but all hope is not lost.

Jalby,
Do you know what the deal is with people who interviewed later receiving notification of either a waitlist or acceptance while other people who interviewed before have not received any notification? Is that basically a bad sign if you have not heard yet?
If anyone else know, that would be helpful also!
Thank You!!

Thanks AZN-Trojan...that helps to know a time line.
Guess I will be waiting for that special day in april (or not so special if they reject me). You know, everyone keeps saying that 2/3 of all people interviewed at USC are accepted. That is supposed to make me feel better, but I keep thinking..damn how crappy would I feel to not get accepted with that stat in my face. Ah well, I guess someone has to get rejected. Please just don't let it be me (or shamthis...he/she really likes the school, too.)

don't worry.. lot of our students get taken off the waitlist.. heck.. i was one of the last ones into the class of 2005.. i picked up my acceptance when they were having their welcome bbq.. which was 1 week before class started..

Thanks Trojan! You keep my hopes up. So, out of curiosity, were you planning to go someplace else, and changed your mind at the last minute when you were accepted? I am worried about these waitlist's...I am on one at UCLA--and as time passes it seems like that is what will come from USC. I just don't know how people pick up and make a life changing decision in like 2 days?!? Did you already live in the area or did you have to relocate?
BTW, sorry that these questions are totally off the USC subject...but they are good things to know--

as for ucla.. i have friends over there.. and they seem to hate the curriculum.. however.. westwood is definitely pretty nice.. and you really can't beat uc tuition.. however.. the cost of being a lifelong trojan is well worth the cost..
