I thought I was done with USC. Submitted everything by August 8th. Absolutely no correspondences since then. Until I got that Interest Request form a few days ago. Raised my hopes up so much. Then still nothing. Not even the course evaluation yet. Quit toying with my heart!!! 😡

Probably in 5 weeks like January interview or even sooner.

I already graduated c/o 2012 and completed all my pre-reqs last year. I'm just floating, travelling, learning the piano, napping, eating, working out(coz im so skinny), hardly working, stalking SDN, and playing video games (woooot!). 😛

What type of work do you do? I feel like a hermit sometimes...most people my age are still sophomore in college 👍

I immigrated from the Philippines. We are two years ahead I believe. I didn't skip any grades 🙁

I didn't get anything ): after that. But I think they might start sending those out or invitation this or next week

Nope 😛 The faster they send in interview invites or rejection, the faster I can decide with my career choice/advancement.
 
hey do you guys think ill get in?
oregon state university
science GPA: 3.93
pharmacy experience: couple of pharmacy shadows, 3 months of volunteer at an inpatient pharmacy, 1 year (and going) work at a pharmacy as a tech

Volunteer: about a years worth of work
extra curriculum: D1 track and field


im worried cuz when i was 16 and stupid i took a calc 1 class and it was 7.5 quarter units and got a C, but then i re took 5 units of calc 1 and got an A...but i still have to take calc 2. ive gotten an A in all other science classes. do you think theyre gonna care?????

I'm planning to do CLS this july/august. Cheap tuition sometimes even free. Only takes a year and in demand right now in California.

I think people receive invites on fridays, so yea you are right! Next week LOL :O @_@ I'll prolly lose my mind if I don't have anything else to do. 😛

I wonder how others deal with their sanity while waiting 🙂)

Yep! So most likely next week, calculating backwards from the interview data haha. Did you already graduate or are you still have a semester/quarter still?

Ahh not sure haha. Keeping themselves busy!

I graduated may 2012! I've been working already :/ and it's not good haha.

CLS = Clinical Laboratory Scientist
I majored in Microbiology so I only have to do the 1 year clinical training to get license instead of doing a year of post-bacc then clinical training.
 
does USC calculate their own gpa? different than pharmcas? like repeats. does usc take the higher grade

They calculate their own pre-pharm GPA.
You should focus more on ECs, volunteering, shadowing, research, work and leadership experience.

Cool. 👍 How flexible are the hours on that? I wonder if it's something you could keep doing while in pharm school?

i was a d1 track athelete, i shadowed a hospital pharmacy manager/oncology pharmacists, volunteered at an inpatient pharmacy for a while, and have been working as a tech for 1 year.

It's pretty flexible. And the working conditions are similar if you have worked in inpatient pharmacy. I rather work as an intern though to get those hours and training 😛

You are over thinking this. Breath. Chill. Craft a well written personal statement. Get GREAT Letter of Recommendations. For sure you are guaranteed a spot somewhere.

Anyone heard anything who had an interview on Feb 23? Hoping to hear by the end of this week... Feels like it's been a year. As you can tell, I'm impatient.

Did they tell February interviews that you should hear back from them in 2-3 weeks? That's what they told January interviews but it took a whole lot longer to hear back
 
Just got accepted! Was on AC from Jan interview.

Time to celebrate 😛
 
I'm on AC from the January interview and haven't heard anything yet.. congrats to those who got in!
 
Accepted @ 11:22am PST today! I was from the February 23rd interview pool.
