USC School of Dentistry Class of 2029 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Does anyone know if people that interviewed in January still have a chance at acceptance or will USC only start accepting people that interviewed in March and April moving forward? I interviewed on January 22nd and USC is my dream school.

I’m sure they are still sending acceptances for January. They accepted people from October and November on monday

Yes they def do have a chance! They don't accept in order Ik people who got accepted later in the the summer but interviewed in Jan! Keep your head high and keep praying! Maybe send an LOI if you haven't yet

Thank you! I sent a LOI I’m hoping it’ll work. Hopefully they send out more acceptances soon.

Hey everyone,

If you’re certain that you will not be attending USC, please consider removing yourself from the waitlist. This will allow those who are still excited about the possibility of attending to have a better chance and save time for everyone involved.

I understand that this is a big decision, but if you know for sure that USC isn’t your choice, a quick update to your status would be greatly appreciated by everyone still waiting.

Facebook is at 66 people even considering those who have not joined there should be a good amount of seats left. Does anyone know if they are done interviewing or when the next batch would be sent out?

I’m not sure, but it has been really quiet so it could be possible they are done sending invites but who knows. I would suggest calling them and asking
 
I interviewed on 3/17, and one of the ambassadors told me that they interview 300 ppl for their 144 seat class. So essentially, two ppl per seat are interviewed. They also said that the biggest waitlist movement is Mid April so hoping that holds well for us!

The head of admissions said they usually interview about 700 people

Ahhh okay, that makes more sense but ig ambassadors just there to chill and get free food at the end of the day 😂 but 350 offers makes me a lil hopeful 🥹!! Anyone know when the next wave of acceptances are?

last year they did interview till mid April i believe…but this year it’s been pretty quiet. i’d recommend calling the school and finding out.

I emailed them. They said they will still be conducting interviews through April...will notify you if selected
 
Did anyone else hear back? Damn, sent in LOI and nothing. They give the spots to those that turn them down.
 
I have not heard back too...sent them a LOI too. Wondering what else I could do but I also do not want to bug them. Has anyone personally called ask for an update or do they give vague answers.

I called twice to try to get an update and didn't get a response. Best bet would probably be to email to ask questions about timeline

I asked for an update and just got a generic response that they don’t have any updates
 
Has anyone received any interview invites for April? I know they usually send out invites late March in past cycles, but I haven’t heard anything and it’s mid-April now
 
I know a D1 currently and I was told that’s there done interviewing…but who knows
 
Have they already sent a wave of acceptances in April? I was expecting to hear from them sometime next week

I don’t think they have…i could be wrong. I don’t think even think they sent interview invites recently
 
Hopefully there are still some seats left….anybody know the timeframe they give to put down a deposit
 
I really hope so… I was a pre-Dec interview so this wait has been so painful lmao. Just wish they would let us know so I can just prepare for next cycle
 
I actually called them on Friday and they said they’re still interviewing for April. But I’m assuming the interviews end in April. They also said that the days that the Admission committee meets are very arbitrary so they can’t really anticipate when the next acceptance wave is out

ok...thats funny, cuz I called today to see if there still conducting interviews and I was told NO...I also double checked with a current D1 and same answer, they've been done doing interviews for a while...I wonder why they take so long, especially for those who sent LOI

Ahhh idek that’s weird maybe they weren’t sure yet if they were gonna do more? But I did send an LOI a week after my interview so definitely have been waiting a while now. Do they send acceptances in May? I heard the largest acceptance wave is in April so now I’m scared.
