Hey so I’m coming in with a good amount of AP Credit and was wondering if you guys recommend I use any of it.
I will be an incoming freshman Bio major and will have AP credit in Statistics, Calculus 1, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Psychology, US History, European History.

Two options:

1) Take the credit and take upper level courses in the same areas for prerequisites/premed requirements.
2) Don't take the credit and retake the prerequisites.

Each of these has their own benefits and cons. I went with #1 because I was interested in some of the upper level classes that I'd never be able to take otherwise (outside of my major). Some people go with #2 because it's easier to get good grades (upper level classes can be harder, and retaking the class should essentially guarantee you an A if you put effort into it).

Some schools accept, some schools don’t (usually the higher tiers). Safe route is to retake all of them ( for easy A). Or like above, take higher devision in your needed prerequisites. I went in with A few AP Units as well, and regret using some to graduate since I couldn’t apply to some schools.
