Should I avoid using the same anecdotes in my personal statement and secondary essays, or is it okay to tell the same story twice? I'm thinking specifically of the UMDNJ secondary, where they ask you to describe your preparation for med school. There's no limit so I can go into more detail than I did in my PS, but if they're going to be reading both, I don't want to be too repetitive. Thanks for your help, guys.

For this instance, I think you're fine. I remember having to state some things over on 1 or 2 secondaries...I think UMDNJ was one. But I know you know, make it as different as possible.

It you made your PS more or less "why a physician" then I don't think you will have too much trouble on most secondaries. However, if you said in any detail "why ost. physician" on the PS than you will be struggling for unique secondaries (so you're not reiterating the samething)

Lyrics game🙁no googling)

"Coast to coast, LA to Chicago, western male.
Across the north and south to Key Largo, love for sale."

Smooth Operator - Sade

I am only applying to WesternU.
It looks like WesternU asks the similar questions as AACOMAS. So I feel like I have to restate some of the things I already said twice.
As instructed on the AACOMAS, I stated why I want to be a physician then why I wanted to be Ost. Physician. But one of the 4 secondary essays asks specifically why I want to be a doctor although it won't be as much apsace (3000 characters for AACOMAS as opposed to double space, one page essay for secondary).

My question is I am not sure if I should make the secondary "why Osteo" as similar as possible or as different as possible. My guess is it should be smiliar....

thanks everyone 😀
