After reading endless positive reviews on TBR from SDN, I went ahead and ordered physics, o-chem, and gen chem from them. I've only started studying for the MCAT this week (so this question may come a little too early) but I'm starting to realize that the content review (the lectures, not passages) for Physics TBR is not that great *for me*. I know most people on here praise their passages, but what did you guys think about content? Granted, I took physics I 3 years ago and barely remember anything, and physics I is my weaker subject. I find myself going back to my old physics textbook (Physics for Scientists & Engineers by Knight), and getting a much better understanding from there (even though it takes about 2x as long to go through).

So my plan is to still read TBR, but supplementing it with Knight where I feel TBR is lacking. Surely, I will take full advantage of BR's passages though.
Am I missing something here with BR (not reading it careful enough?) or are there others out there who feels the same way? (Sorry if this question's been asked.)

A science textbook will give you a more in-depth understanding; however, it will also give you tons of unnecessary information (ie information not related to the MCAT). Yet, if this is the only way for you to understand physics, then do it. In general, textbooks are a waste of time except for random references. BR should be more than enough for the MCAT. Regardless of what you choose, make sure you take those passages. Taking timed practice passages is one of the keys to MCAT success.

Thanks for the reply. I realized that the textbook was a lot of info and didn't help too much (after all, I'm still trying to figure out what works best for me).

yo phillips...i feel your pain on the physics 1 deficency...i suck at it and the only way I'm getting better is accepting the fact i HAVE TO LEARN THE CONCEPTS...someone on here said that its all intuitive...i'm starting to agree with whoever that peron was...I tried the whole textbook thing also but got bogged down in the details...it was eating up my time...I'm using NOVA/EK1001/TBR bt all three its starting to make a lot more sense...( I know it seems overkill, but the more ?'s i can get my eyes on the better) i think its bc i'm doing so freakin many practice problems...repitition repetition repitition...know what i mean...GL
